Crazy Weather

The weather has been insane the last few days. We have been getting some very intense storms in the evenings. We have had a few tornado watches and warnings, but haven't seen any yet. We had a storm last night that dumped over 5" of rain on us. The storm had some very strong winds and some hail. All of us (me, Andy, Dylan, Hayley, Mom, Dad and Bailey) were all at our house watching the weather and alerts getting ready to head to our basement tornado shelter if we needed to. Andy had Dylan's bag packed to spend the night in the shelter, but that never happened. The amount of rain we received made the lake rise to the point it was about an inch from coming over our sea wall and into our yard. This morning there were loose boats and jet skis all over the lake. People were out trying to find their missing watercraft which could be tough on a 325 acre lake. We were fortunate that our boat was high enough that it did not get loose. I think Andy would have died if he woke up to find the boat was gone! I should have taken some pictures, but didn't. In looking at the weather forecast for tonight I might have another opportunity this evening. So to sum it up, we are all safe and sound. Hope everyone is well. Talk to you soon.
